Do not use a hyphen to link phrases using "high" (high performance) or "low" (low voltage). Spell out numbers below 10 except for comparison reasons: if any numbers regarding the same information are 10 or higher, all comparable numbers should be displayed numerically (e.g., three bulbs, but 3, 9, and 12 bulbs). Close up plurals after numbers or abbreviations; don't use an apostrophe: Perhaps bad lighting fixtures were to blame for all the supposed sightings of UFOs throughout the 1900s. If you are checking a word that is not in Lightolier's standard dictionary (Merriam-Webster Online) email it to Justin Katz for inclusion on this list.
